Walkthrough
"The sky sure is beautiful at night. I only wish we could enjoy it in peace."
Ask Elder Wen Starbrook, "Did you find out anything on the cloth?" through the dialogue window.
"I have never seen this symbol before, and never have I seen one with such magic behind it. The hobgoblins are strong and powerful with their tribal magic, but they are not the type to expand beyond their ways. Did you notice anything odd with this hobgoblin?"
You say, "Their eyes glow green and thier veins are visible through their thick skin."
"Yes. They do indeed have an unnatural presence within that is driving them beyond their normal capabilities."
"The villagers you saved have informed me that their attack came without notice, a strike in the darkness when least expected. After the first wave of hobgoblins, the firecallers arrived and began their rituals to open the gateways to the plane of fire."
You say, "I have put a stop to their summoning and closed the remaining portals."
"Indeed. Though you have stopped the summoning and raided their cave, their aggression carries on. We need to understand our enemy and their new found power. I will meditate on this cloth to reveal whatever lurks behind the symbol. As for you, you are urgently required elsewhere."
You say, "Very well. Where must I go?"
"At this moment, they have been attacking the farmers in our last remaining farmlands just west of here. If they succeed and destroy those farms, then we will not be able to supply enough food for the people. We must put a stop to this right away."
"I will mark a location on your map to Lix Luckkin. She has been studying various arts of healing and is trying to find answers to the hobgoblin corruption. Bring her this sample of the hobgoblin blood."
"I sent her scouting out ahead of you to determine what the hobgoblins are doing to the farmlands and what you can do to help. Pass through the village west of here and up the hills, you'll find her in the farmlands there."

Head West from Sun Village into the farmer's fields and look for Lix Luckkin under a tree by a farmer's field overrun with hobgoblins.
Lix says, "The Hobgoblins are toying with a new magic that I have never seen before in my many years."
"I've been expect you, [Player]. Thank you for the blood sample. Elder Wen Starbrook has asked me to evaluate the situation at hand. In short, the hobgoblins are poisoning the crops."
"This poison quickly destroys the vegetation and is seeping into the earth. While I cannot tell you exactly how they are doing it, I can tell you what I have seen. They are using minions that appear to be from the spirit of Zalaz, but they are different. It's as if they are affected as well."
